Before I became a "Professional Performer" and a Professional "Balloon Artist",
I was
a "Fine Artist"~ illustrator, designer.
I would spend hours sketching random pictures...  ...................................
Views from my livingroom window on a cold wintry afternoon or blooming flowers from a bush in my yard in the Spring... a tree, a bird and even the "gingerbread" detailed windows of my neighbor's Victorian home served as inspiration.

....................................I would sketch and doodle just because it was fun!

Well, of course I was very encouraged by my parents.....after I graduated with a BFA in Theatre from Point Park College (University now), I remember my mother saying to me...."Well,
you should go to Art School so you have something to fall back on in case you don't become a STAR".

All through Elementary School, Middle School and High School I would paint and sketch and doodle
 and ......perform
In High School I was in the High School Play Frankenstein Follies
and I designed the "Set" for it, too.

This is a drawing from my teenage years sketched in charcoal. I remember drawing this while watching
TV one night....the image was originally on a paper towel that I looked at and drew "free hand".....they sure don't make art on kitchen paper towels the way they used to.

BELOW: The Birds, Fish and the Chalis are examples of my study in PEN & INK. Again they are "Free Hand" sketches from actual art pieces.

This is a study in PEN & INK. it is an illustration of a statue my mother received as a wedding present. I really like the shape of the bird.

After a year at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, I worked as a freelance commercial artist & designer for various advertising agencies in Pittsburgh.

Later, in 1996, when I started my own little company, "Giggles the Clown", I started using computer graphics to design my own LOGO, brochures, business cards, posters, website...
